Darren Sharper, a former NFL star, has turned himself in with the Los Angeles authorities. This was after the former NFL player was posted wanted in New Orleans. Sharper was confronted to face alleged rape charges from two women, reported CNN.
The Los Angeles authorities confirmed Sharper’s arrest but did not provide other information. Meanwhile, a source told CNN that Sharper had already made arrangements for his surrender which led Sharper to turn himself in last Thursday evening.
On Thursday, charges were filed against Sharper along with Erik Nunez for two counts of aggravated rape. This was according to the Louisiana district attorney. The two men could end up imprisoned for life once they were found to be guilty of the alleged rape charges. The charges filed in New Orleans were only additional charges to that of Sharper’s ongoing case filed against him in California.
Sharper pleaded not guilty to two counts of a rape by use of drugs that was filed against him in California last week.
