The Acoustic Stream is currently raising $50,000 on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter for its 4-in-2 guitarist's companion gadget. The company has already achieved half of its funding target, according to TechCrunch.
Acoustic Stream is a small box that can be attached to a guitar and connected to a phone. With just a double tap, the device will record a guitarist's performance. It can also sync the recorded content with the phone. In addition, users can stream the recorded music through a headphone jack. The 4-in-1 device also has a built-in tuner and a sensor that determines if the strings are about to pop, the report detailed.
According to Gizmag, the gadget is compatible with iOS device, but the team is already working to make the device work with Android phones and tablets, too.
Those who will pledge $97 for the device are rewarded with an early edition of the Acoustic Stream. The recommended retail price for the 4-in-1 companion is set at $200. The company has until March 29 for its crowdfunding campaign, the report added.
Robert Bean, the leader of the Acoustic Stream team, is also planning to make a similar unit that can be used for the trumpet, upright bass, or flugelhorn, TechCrunch reported.
