American Idol top 12 sang songs that remind them of home. The talented 12, as Ryan Seacrest call the group, chose songs that reminded them of their hometown, family members and their early days of singing.
Unusual song choices were made by the contestants, reported USAToday. Malaya Watson performed Take Me to the King which she said the first song she ever learned. Meanwhile Caleb Johnson covered a song from his all time favorite band. Emily Piriz paid tribute to her Latin American heritage and chose Let's Get Loud by JLo. Dexter Roberts went back to his farm life and chose Lucky Man. Majesty Rose sang Fix You, Sam Wolf sang 'Just One,' CJ Harris rendered 'Waiting on the World to Change' and Ben Briley did 'Turning Home.'
Jena Irene did 'Suddenly I see' which she said reveals how close she was to her family. Meanwhile, Jessica Meuse sang Dido's White Flag and Alex Preston did I don't wanna be which he sang with crisp guitar chords. MK Nobilette sang Drops of Jupiter by Train.
Although the top 12 delivered good performances, no game changers advanced.
