Last February 19, a woman who was forcibly taken inside a car was raped. Luckily, a discarded Starbucks cup helped to solve the case and identify the rapist’s whereabouts. On that same day, the discarded Starbucks cup fell out from the car of Bryon E. Johnston.
According to a report from YahooNews, the police saw a sticker on the Starbucks cup which had some information about the date when it was purchased. It showed that the cup was bought on the same day in a drive-through Starbucks shop in DuPont. The authorities also took a surveillance video and found the perfect match of the attacker.
On Tuesday, Byron E. Johnston was arrested of kidnapping and rape. He was held in custody on Wednesday after a probable cause for the attack was seen by the judge, reported The Olympian. Johnston had another attacking spree in November where he did the same thing to a woman he abducted from the bus stop.
