Issued TRO lifts Delfin Lee’s warrant of arrest

Delfin Lee had been all over the news in the Philippines and even became a trending topic on Twitter. However, not every Filipino knows who this man is. Lee is a businessman who had been dealing mainly with real estate fueled by financing, according to an ABS-CBNNews report. He is the founder and president of Globe Asiatique and was charged with syndicated estafa and defrauding of government housing loans which sum up to PHP6.6 billion.

On Wednesday, a temporary restraining order was issued against a Court of Appeals ruling. The TRO stated lifting the warrant of arrest against the property developer Delfin Lee, who was held behind bars. The TRO was effective immediately and would take effect until orders from the court are directed. The restraining order would go against the CA decision last

The Third Division of the high court issued the TRO which composed of Associate Justice Roberto Abad, Jose Mendoza, Marvic Leonen and Presbitero Velasco.

Lee denied that he has committed any wrongdoing in his Globe Asiatique transactions after he was arrested in Manila last Thursday.
