Jett Webb kills 500 pounds of wild boar in North Carolina last month in a single shot from rifle.

It all happened when the 34-year-old from Contoe, N.C., went hunting for boar at the White Oak Ranch Hunting Club Feb 28. The knight with a shiny rifle cross the beasts paths- and did not run.

How does it feel when you come across a giant pig? WNCT-TV got the scoop.

"It was very surreal," he continue, "It was a shock. It was very humbling to say the least, when you walk up on a beast that big and you say, 'Oh my gosh. I had no idea that there could be something that big running around the woods of Eastern North Carolina.'"

Previously the pig has been seen on camera foot, but huntsman never could track it down.

Jett armed with a .308 caliber AR-15 rifle murdered the boar with one shot at 50 yards away.

How does a boar get that big? Domesticated? Webb thinks not.

"The Mohawk down the back, the tusks really lean, the muscular big front end," Webb said. "This is far from a domesticated docile pig that we're used to."

From the rare catch, others comment their astonishment

"It takes your breath away for a second to realize how big this hog is," President of the club Mike Mansell said. "It took up the entire bed of the pickup truck."

Granted the boar is big, but this is not the biggest by far.

2005, Alapaha, Ga. Had a 800 lb. boar shot by a guide at a club. National Geographic produced a documentary of the catch of Hogzilla, the name given it by the residents.

Webb happens to a Veterean of in the domain of large pig kills. One of the his other trophy kills mounts on the wall of his club.

So where will this one go? Webb wants it in to be feeding his families stomach for as quite some time.

"We're not going to waste anything," Webb said. "That pig will provide food for me and my family for a good year."
