Jim Irsay, the owner of the Indianapolis Colts, was arrested today on suspected DUI and possession of a controlled substance. Irsay was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, reported Yahoo News.
The arrest took place around 3 a.m. ET in the Indianapolis suburb of Carmel. This was according to authorities at the Hamilton Country who said Irsay was observed to have stopped in the middle of the road. The Colts owner also failed to signal as he was pulling over. The police said, "During the course of the investigation, Irsay subsequently failed several roadside field sobriety tests."
The police also added that there were Schedule IV bottles found in Irsay’s vehicle. The police said, "Multiple prescription drugs were discovered in pill bottles. These Schedule IV prescription drugs were not associated with any prescription bottles found in the vehicle."
Jim Irsay was detained and would be allowed to post a bail amounting to USD22500.
