Tony Wroten, Philadelphia 76ers guard, couldn’t be more embarrassed than having the sole of his basketball shoes fall off during a game last Friday. In the fourth quarter of a match against the Indiana Pacers, the right sole of Wroten’s Air Jordan 10’s fell off. The Sixers guard was surely caught off guard!
Wroten headed to the locker room to change his shoes. He later told the Delaware News Journal, "it was more embarrassing than anything."
However, the footwear malfunction led to a personal apology from Michael Jordan, whose iconic name and silhouette are embedded on the footwear. This is a very rare instance that customer service is extended by His Airness himself. The mishap turned the event ideal for Wroten who takes pride in wearing the best kicks during a basketball game.
Wroten told the News Journal, "I got an apology from Jordan. Yeah. … He called my agent."
