Paul Walker's mom contest guardianship over the late actor's daughter

After the death of the Fast and Furious star Paul Walker, the guardianship of his daughter had been left hanging. As per the wish of the late actor’s will, his mother filed a formal petition asking legal guardianship over his daughter Meadow Rain.

On Tuesday, the petition was filed in Los Angeles stating, "parental custody would be detrimental to the minor." The petition further stated Cheryl Ann Walker to be named as the 15 year old minor’s legal guardian and not her mother, Rebecca Jo Soteros.

Walker and Soteros never married and shared custody over Meadow Rain.
The petition says that Cheryl is "a loving and responsible person. She works as a registered nurse. She has raised her own four children. The mother has a drinking problem. Petitioner will act as the guardian of the person and estate of the minor."

Currently, Meadow along with her mother and grandma are living together in L.A. Meadow grew up with her mom in Hawaii and later on with her grandmother since August 2012. A year after, she moved with her dad, Paul.
