Italian startup Flazio makes website building through your FB page simple

By

Flazio, a startup formed by siblings Elisa and Flavio Fazio of Italy, is a web-design service that allows users to make their website in just a single step, TechCrunch reported.

However, what makes the website unique is that it has a Facebook app that enables users to export their Facebook content, such as their feed or private FB pages, into the website. John Biggs of TechCrunch tried the app and calls it the "salsa segreta" of Flazio. He said that all you need to do is link your Facebook account to the system and it takes care of transferring your data to the site. "It's a cute trick that can turn Internet lookie-loos into fully-fledged website impresarios," Biggs wrote.

The brother-and-sister team was able to secure private equity funding of $400,000 from Zernike Meta Venture which would help in their quest to grow worldwide. So far, Flazio's daily users have reached 4,500 daily, with more than 90,000 websites being created on the platform, the report said.

Although startups like Squarespace, Wix, Jigsy and Yola have been providing similar services for a number of years now, Elisa said they have something special to offer. She told TechCrunch, "Introducing a new service in a market full of options but doing it in value adding way in my opinion is a huge strenght for Flazio. What makes Flazio team special is the ability to run a business in a high velocity market without missing the perception of each consumer value."

She added that they continue to invest in research and development. "There are continuous updated features releases, especially according to technology updates or specific customers needs," she told TechCrunch.

Information from the Flazio website showed that Flazio offers a Free version as well as a Pro version. The Pro version has a subscription fee of €9 a month or €99 a year.
