The Voice Italy and the whole country were certainly stunned after a nun sang in the blind audition of the show. Yes! You heard that right. An Italian nun joined The Voice and sang Alicia Key’s No One in front of a live audience. Not to mention, she also tagged along some sisters in the back room as supporters.
The 25 year old sister, Cristina Scuccia, is a member of the Ursuline Sister of the Holy Family.
The first juror to press the red button and turn the chair was J-Ax, who himself was very much surprised on what he saw. Urging on other judges to hit the button and turn, Raffaella Carra, Noemi and Piero Pelu were pretty much awed when they saw the nun, all hyped up and giving her best shot during the audition.
Raffeella Carra asked Sister Cristina on what the Pope thinks of her The Voice audition and the nun said she has been waiting for the Pope’s call. Sister Cristina also added, “I came here because I have a gift and I want to share that gift. I am here to evangelize.”
The nun decided to join J-Ax’s team and move further to the next round. Watch Sister Cristina rock The Voice audition below:
