Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have stirred an online buzz following their Vogue magazine cover shoot. The couple was dubbed #WORDLSMOSTTALKEDABOUTCOUPLE which drew a lot of criticisms from social media sites including Twitter.
On Friday, Vogue’s magazine cover featuring Kanye and Kim surprised almost everyone in the fashion industry. According to reports, rumors had it that Kanye has been courting Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor for three long months for them to be on the cover prior an announced marriage in May. Anna Wintour’s decision to feature Kanye and Kim was questioned by magazine editors, fashion insiders and a few celebrities.
According to a tweet from Cosmopolitan editor Amy Odell, "NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANYMORE". Elle magazine also tweeted, "Just seen that Kim Kardashian cover? Here's an expert's tip to feel calmer in 60 seconds."
Vogue chief editor Anna Wintour defended Kanye and Kim’s cover shoot for the magazine done by iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz. Wintour said in a note to The Hollywood Reporter, "Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it."
