Australian publisher The Intermedia Group announced that it has purchased Beer & Brewer Magazine and its products, according to The Shout. The financial terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed in the said report.
Beer & Brewer founder David Lipman said: "We look forward to engaging with beer and cider industry stakeholders in the coming months to get their input on how we can take Beer & Brewer Magazine to the next level."
Under the terms of the transaction, Intermedia will be covering the events that need to be added to the beer industry lineup. In connection with this, the details of Beer & Brewer Awards and Conference are still under scrutiny, the report added.
In addition to the acquisition, Intermedia also announced changes in the structure of its Hospitality and Liquor department. Paul Wootton has been named the new Group Publisher of Hospitality to oversee the new beer festivals in Melbourne. Intermedia's title portfolio includes The Shout, Australian Hotelier, and the Australian Liquor Industry Awareds (ALIA), The Shout reported.
