Sony releases Mobius, a digital paper tablet

Sony has released a tablet measuring 7mm thick with an interface of an a4 sized paper, according to a BBC report. The new Digital Paper tablet allows user to write and annotate their documents. The tablet makes use of E-ink and was designed for office use.

According to Sony, the device could run up to three weeks even without getting recharged. The tablet is also Wi-Fi ready making it a good choice for those having desk jobs. BBC reported that the digital paper tab would go on sale in May. The cost of the tablet would beat USD1100.

The tablet uses a technology collaborated by Sony and E-Ink, making it the first tab to make use of the latest version. The earlier versions of the tab were built on heavy and thick display. The new type of display was named Mobius. It has a 1200 x 1600 resolution and weighs half from those tablets made using glass.
