After undergoing a major menu revision and financial recovery, Domino's Pizza has also entered the mobile ordering space. The restaurant and pizza chain is set to launch its new iPad app that will allow customers to order custom pizza from the comfort of their homes. The app will go live on Monday, according to TechCrunch.
Chief information officer Kevin Vasconi said of the new app: "The new Domino's iPad app takes the experience of ordering pizza to a whole new level. This is the coolest technology we have launched since Domino's Tracker, and we are excited for customers to use the beautiful custom pizza builder that lets you visualize your order in a whole new way."
The iPad app is similar to the restaurant's other apps, which also features Domino's menu, coupons, branches, and an order tracker. It will have an additional feature that lets users save their pizza creations to allow for easy reordering. What sets it apart is the new 3D pizza builder that gives customers a more realistic picture of their custom pizza's final look, the report explained.
Domino's now puts a heavy focus on its mobile orders. At present, it comprises 40% of the pizza chain's total sales in the US, TechCrunch reported.
