IBM has been selling a lot of cloud products including software, cloud infrastructure to run on apps, middleware to connect apps and their OS and even tools for Watson. Big Blue has announced to put all its cloud products in one marketplace.
Today, IBM posted in the new site that it has included one hundred cloud software options for buyers in its cloud marketplace.
IBM followed the likes of Amazon, HP, Rackspace, Oracle, Salesforce.com and Microsoft’s Office 365 in establishing a cloud tools marketplace. PayPal, Square, SendGrid and Redis along with other tech firms have also made their services available in the new marketplace.
On the other hand, the new marketplace offering cloud tools will not transform IBM into an overnight cloud infrastructure provider. Currently, Amazon has been in the lead while Google is making an eyebrow raising mark to keep an eye on. IBM would need to work out to compete in the marketplace.
