France-based, Bunkr, a free video presentation creator, raised $1.4 (€1 million) in a seed round today from sole investor Idinvest Partners.
In a interview with TechCrunch, Édouard Petit, Co-Founder and CMO shared "Idinvest rarely invests in seed rounds. It's relatively unusual for them, but they believe in the project." He continued to share about product experience "In 15 months, we will know for sure what the perfect product experience and use case are. We will be able to continue the adventure at a bigger scale."
Following the investment Bunkr is releaseing an new version of the product. Sharing presentations on Bunkr does not count towards the limited quota they give you before charging €5 to create private presentations.
Petit shares the viewership success of these videos: "Now, we have a few presentations that nearly got a million views. People share their presentations more than we thought." He shares: "That's why it makes sense to push public presentations. You're in front of an audience when you make a presentation - it makes Bunkr intrinsically viral."
As noted, this is a tool for creating presentations. The user collects and stores data to use for creation in their account in a browser. One of the presentation features gives the user the ability for tweet embeds from retweet or follow buttons.
Bunkr was founded in 2012 and employs 10 people with 50,000 registered users and 1,000 paid clients.
