These days, smartphones do not just battle it out based on performance. Aesthetics has become an important part among consumers when deciding which handset to purchase. Similar to the iPhone 5s, it appears Apple has been planning on releasing a similar gold variant for the iPhone 6. Recent press render leak shows the gold mock up of the iPhone 6 beside the usual variants of the iPhone series. What has Apple got in store?
According to a report by 9to5Mac, an image of a gold iPhone 6 surfaced. The image shows a gold edition iPhone next to previously offered iPhone variants: Space Gray and Silver. Although the image shows a dummy, it can also be a good basis on what people can expect from the upcoming iPhone 6. Likewise, the press render also shows the lighter variants with slightly different features from Apple's previous iPhones. For instance, there were some strange features including a gold Touch ID ring.
People used to the usual Apple format may find the mockups strange but they should provide a new feel and user experience. It is important for people to remember that the image shows mockups only. They do not provide an accurate design of the upcoming design although they can serve as good basis.
For several weeks now, the iPhone 6 has been making headlines especially with predictions from analysts indicating its potential stellar performance. Majority of analysts agree that an iPhone phablet or the 5.5-inch version can drive sales and attract more consumers.
So far, reported resolution display of the 4.7.-inch version is 1704-by-960 pixels. The iPhone 6 will also reportedly come with a thinner aluminum chassis and curvier design. Reuters previously reported that the 4.7-inch version may arrive in August while the 5.5-inch version will arrive September. Apple has not made any official announcements about the final details of the iPhone 6.
