The best-selling young adult novel The Fault In Our Stars premieres in cinemas this coming June 6.
The romantic drama movie adaptation is based on cancer fighters meeting in a Cancer Kid Support Group. The book entails the story of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters who share their stories of tumor-shrinking miracles and prosthetic leg jokes. Moreover, as time carries them, several plot twists happen.
Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort will play the main leads.
Woodley acted the part of Amy Juergens in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She was also known after she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female for her appearance in The Descendants. Likewise, Ansel Elgort performed well on the 2013 Tommy Ross' horror film, Carrie. The portrayal of both actors in the 2014 American science fiction action film Divergent undoubtedly made it a stepping stone to hit the big screen once more.
In an interview with Ansel in one of the online publications he said, "I learned that about Shailene - that she would slap me if I was bad! And I really liked that because she's honest with people, there's no BS and she's not fake, she's a real friend because of that to me." On the other side, Shailene said, "I also learned when Ansel is on set; he brings this sense of new curiosity because when we did this movie it was only your third film, right? When we worked on Divergent together it was only his second film, so there was this new sense of learning about things that some of the other people I've worked with don't question anymore or act curious about anymore. It was really exciting for me to experience a film set for the first time again through his eyes."
Indeed, the two actors have been very close to each other as time passes by. And on some interviews, they become emotional whenever the topic is about the movie.
Watching The Fault In Our Stars is really a must.
