Baleful, wicked, vindictive - Maleficent hit big screen

Dark fantasy epic film Maleficent hit theatres the past weekend.

The film directed by Robert Stromberg envisions the 1959 Walt Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty.

"What we wanted to do is not reinvent that character," said by Stromberg on an interview in Youtube.

Stromberg added, "Instead, we wanted to try and create layers of that character that you didn't think existed"

The live-action film visualizes the story of the iconic witch antagonist of the said fairy tale. Mistress of All Evil, Maleficent, finds her way to Princess Aurora where it happens that she wants to curse Aurora thereafter she knew she wasn't invited to the princess' christening. It turns out; there is a deeper agony at play than a social snub. The film deepens the message of Maleficent might good all the time. Nevertheless, the film isn't like the twists created in Wizards of Oz.

Oscar winner, Angelica Jolie, tries to showcase witchcraft and extraordinary sorcery. She aims to bewitch on the said movie; giving this film as her first live-action starring role in four years.

To hit $80 Million after its first premiere in 3,948 theatres last Friday, Walt Disney Studios' goal. Majority of the presentation will be shown on 3D screenings - such as Digita 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D formats.

An amazing hit is very vivid to the protagonist and antagonist, Angelina Jolie known as Maleficent, as it may reach the peak of the film's grossing debut, leaving the $50.9 Million earned by "Wanted" when it launched in 2008.

Left and right previews on the said movie fill Jolie's immense stardom. The money allocation for the film was $180 million which provides Jolie a challenge to do her job well.

Moreover the director of this bewitched film, Robert Stromberg said, "There are two sides to every story. This is about examining the other side. And once you've become dark, how much hard it is to see the light again."
