"Topless Travel" pictures latest Instagram trend

Have you ever posted toples pictures online? That would be outrageous, right? Well worry not because there is now a new trend in the internet where you can post a scantily-clad you and not get embarrassed.

According to CNN, the racy "Topless Travel" trend was started by group of friends--twentysomethings Olivia Edginton, Lydia Buckler and Ingvild Marstein Olsen--who are students at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.

According to the group, it started after they did an impromptu topless dip in a lake in Olsen's hometown in Norway. They wanted to capture that freedom they had there--Edginton said that the shoot simply just happened; that there was no planning involved.

After that they just continued to travel the world and did the same photos at some parts of Europe and the United States. Many others soon followed, making their own creative versions of the topless photos and posting them on Instagram.

The official Instagram account (the_topless_tour) now has over 20,000 followers.

"The Topless Tour is the opening of your bare chest and heart to the world. It sounds really cheesy on paper, but it really connects you with the people you love," Edginton explained.

If you'd like to join the growing number of topless images, you just need to post a topless picture that snaps an image of your back with beautiful scenery in your location. You should be careful, however--there are some destinations that do not allow nudity.

"So far we haven't got in too much trouble, we get the occasional tut and shake of the head, but generally the response is surprisingly more positive. We still always seem make people smile and laugh - especially when we're on skis," Olsen told The Huffington Post.
