Days are fast approaching and the 2014 American action comedy "22 Jump Street" will hit cinemas on June 13, 2014.
The movie is a sequel to the 2012 movie "21 Jump Street" (directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller), which was about the hilarious adventure of cops Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum).
In the sequel, Schmidt and Jenko are deployed to a university for their new assignment given by Deputy Chief Hardy (Nick Offerman), but they didn't expect that it would be an online college.
Both Schmidt and Jenko thought they'd do awesome stuff, yet lame online courses faced them. After they went to the real college, they realize there were a lot of changes. They need to investigate on a popular new drug called "Whyphy".
"Every scene is gonna be a discovery. Like the helmet car, I didn't know how would the feeling be. Every scene was spontaneous especially when Jonah gets scared, it was really Jonah's face when scared," Tatum said laughing in an interview.
"The lameness of recycling an idea for a TV show into a film and I think that worked to our benefit. And we call ourselves out right out of the gate in this one that sequels are bigger and crappier than the first ones. So that's kinda the approach we're taking with this, is to have a very aware attack at ourselves for making a sequel in the first place," Hill said in an interview with SlashFilm.
Moreover, when Hill was asked about the difference between the college setting on this film from the first film (which was set in high school), he said: "Again, I just want it to be fun for everyone to watch it, so you don't want to go too much into it, but a lot of the stuff about college is figuring out who you are, your identity and yeah... A lot of the movie is about our relationship and kinda going to college with your hometown honey and then the world opening up to you once you get to this new place."
"This movie is bigger, better. It's a giant comedy and an action movie; it's just fun," he said.
"Everyone must watch this movie," Hill added.
