If you ask football fans and pundits and World Cup followers on whose going to win it all in the up-coming 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, your easily going to get either the host nation Brazil, their south american rivals Argentina, the heavily loaded Germany, and the defending champions Spain for an answer.
The football world, however, should not sleep on Belgium because they have the talent and the roster to upset any of the favorites in this years World Cup if ever they meet.
The Red Devils, the nick name of the Belgian football squad, enter the tournament as the true dark horse. A roster filled with premier budding stars with the likes of Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Thibaut Courtois has grabbed the curiosity of the football community and many are thrilled on how the gifted crop of Belgian footballers will fare in the biggest stage of them all.
The Belgian squad is truly oozing with Premier League talent. As a matter or fact, even The Metro's John Harvey wasn't shy to say that the Red Devils are closer to represent the Premier League than England.
"Belgium are being tipped as dark horses for next year's World Cup in Brazil and, looking at the players plying their trade in England's top flight, one could argue it is not the Three Lions who are the Premier League's true national team." John Harvery exclaimed.
With a young talented squad led by true leaders in Vincent Kompany and Eden Hazard, its no surprise why Belgium has been everyone's sexy pick for some time. They looked a lot more potent last year, however, when most of their Premier League players where in best form. Still, Thibaut Courtois is arguably the world's best goalkeeper and the Belgians have a lot of depth to move forward.
In the coming 2014 FIFA World Cup, coach Marc Wilmots will have a deep, experienced, talented, and hungry Belgian squad to lead pass a soft group with Algeria, Russia and South Korea. If they are to meet Portugal in the round of 16, they will surely be the favorites to win the match. Spain and Italy are likely opponents in the last eight but it won't be a surprise if Belgium will become a serious match for the best in the world.
