Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, as seen on the MTV reality show The Hills' love story, will take part in ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap.
They will swap with Olympic seven time medallist Amanda Beard and her husband Sacha Brown. The couple will be compensated $50,000 for the appearance on the show.
Pratt offers insight on inviting the olmpyist and her husband.
"On our show we knew the stakes," Pratt said. "The bonuses if the ratings went up. No one forced us, but you want to be like, 'What can I do to get the ratings up?' Our executive producer of The Hills wanted to have a Gossip Girl. He was not competing against reality shows, he wanted Gossip Girl, Sex in the City..."
Celebrity Wife Swap's Beard and Brown currently have two kids, son Blaise Ray, born in 2009 and daughter Isla Brown, who they welcomed just last year.
According to reports, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratts went on rollercoaster ride whipping off almost a $10 million fortune.
In a interview from InTouch magazine from last December states, that the couple, Montag and Pratt, is in a complete regret after spending much money on non-sense - including night outs on expensive restaurants, and thousands of dollars spent on shopping sprees.
Spencer explained the realization: "We were immature and we got caught up," he continues "Every time we'd go out to eat, we'd order $4,000 bottles of wine. Heidi was going to the mall and dropping $20,000-$30,000 a day," Spencer explained on the press of TMZ.
"We thought we were Jay Z and Beyonce." They put it in perspective, "In hindsight we should've been more low-key."
Montag and Pratt concluded that they have released almost $200,000 on plastic surgeries made in a day. The couple has never denied the excessive use of plastic surgery.
The grandeur couple even spent mostly $10,000 at Los Angeles restaurants and $100,000 all in for Heidi's one month hair and makeup routine.
Heidi and Spencer lost nearly $2.5 Million on recording studios, producers, and photo shoots for recording an album which reportedly flopped. The album titled Superficial, sold 1,000 the first week and amounted to 6,000 total downloads. Heidi's 2010 failed album forked into the couples finances.
Pratt did put on his college cap and gown recently with a degree in Political Science at the University of South Carolina. The couple's last TV appearance was on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013.
Hitting the TV screen after years of desolation has stirred up joy in 30 year old Pratt tweeting on June 4 "It's about time network TV got with it and put @spencerpratt and @heidimontag back on!"
