Xiaomi just introduced its Mi3 offering in December. Nonetheless, it appears the company wants to keep up with competitors as an upcoming flagship has made the news. A new concept for Xiaomi Mi4 emerged indicating that the device will be featuring a 5.5-inch screen and Snapdragon processor. Can Xiaomi compete against other smartphones on the market?

Designer Aitor Amigo released a concept design for Xiaomi's upcoming flagship. According to the report by Concept Phones, the design concept is worth noting because it came from the same designer of the iPhone concept going around the internet. If the company will push through with the proposed blueprint then it will be the slimmest in the world. The report also goes a far to say that handset can break records.

The front screen of the device accounts for 80% of the display. Similar to the iPhone prediction, a large screen handset should attract a good portion of the market. The Samsung Galaxy Note and Sony Xperia series have capitalized on this market preference.

Amigo was specific of the details about the handset. For example, the designer created the handset with a 5.5-inch S-IPIS 1440p display running on 1.7GHz Snapdragon 810 processor with 4GB RAM and 32 or 128GB internal memory. The handset also sports 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front camera. Other features include a USB 3.1 C port and 3200mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi4 concept also comes with Android 5.0, 4 speakers and aluminum build. It weights 110g. The company has received positive response from some of the industry's leading players including Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak. According to Wozniak, Xiaomi can compete in the US market. He also noted that products from the company are "good enough" to attract the market in the country. "Xiaomi has excellent products. They're good enough to break the American market," CNET quoted Wozniak.
