Samsung always made sure people have more options when it comes to its flagship devices. Every device has to offer several configurations and sizes. The same applies for Samsung Galaxy S5 as Samsung released it Active version with the Prime and Mini variants coming soon. However, it appears Samsung still wants to capitalize on its S4 flagship by releasing the Galaxy S4 Value Edition beginning in Europe.
According to the Belsimpel listing, Samsung has subtly launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition in Europe. The smartphone retailer indicated the starting price to be around EUR 398 or $543. The Value Edition series comes with Android 4.4 KitKat which is a notch higher than the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system on the S4.
People can differentiate the latest edition from the flagship through the back cover. Nonetheless, aside from the back finish, Samsung does not appear to change much of the specs according to Tech Times. Belsimple indicated the following under the listing: "The Samsung i9515 Galaxy S4 Value Edition Silver is the newer version of the regular Samsung Galaxy S4." Other details provided on the website include 5-inch screen with high resolution reaching to 1920 x 1080 pixels, A-GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. The interface also appears more stylish because of the silver color scheme.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition is available in two colors: gray and white. Samsung has not provided additional details if the handset will be distributed in other parts of the globe. Other features of the handset are as follows:
