Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley's dating chemistry will just remain on-screen despite rumors that The Fault in Our Stars (TFIOS) leading duo are seeing each other.
In an interview, Elgort gushed over Woodley. "She is a rare girl. And not just in this industry-I mean out of everyone I've ever met," he said. "She plays Hazel negatively in the beginning, which is not very Shailene at all. Then you see her open up because of Gus, and it's beautiful."
However, Elgort's high school sweetheart Violetta Komyshan is reportedly the rarest and fairest lady in the eyes of TFIOS lead actor. Rumors say that he is dating dancer Komyshan, leaving Elgort and Woodley's relationship status as friends.
"It's important to me to be with someone who I really trust, and if it's someone I knew before all of this, that's nice," Elgort said.
Elgort and Komyshan attended LaGuardia High School in Manhattan, New York. The prestigious school specializes in art, drama, dance, and theatre.
The "Divergent" actor also said that he is attracted to smart, funny, and trustworthy girls when he revealed that he has a crush on the 38-year-old South African actress Charlize Theron.
"My celeb crush is Charlize Theron. If I ever met her I'd shake in my boots. I like girls who are smart, funny and trusting," he said.
Elgort has not confirmed his relationship with Komyshan. He even deleted his photos with the dancer on his Instagram account.
"There's a part of your life that needs to be your own. I don't know why who I'm in love with needs to be public knowledge," Elgort told the New York Post.
Now, Elgort and Woodley are busy filming "Insurgent," set to be released next year. With this new film, will there be possibilities that Elgort and Woodley will take their "just friends" status to the next level?
