Kim Kardashian's best friend Brittny Gastineau was assaulted by a famous street artist at the London Hotel in West Hollywood.
The 31-year-old "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive" star was allegedly attacked and beaten up by her street artist boyfriend Marquis Lewis, who goes by the name of "Retna."
The reality star was severely injured and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The doctors called the police to investigate the incident for they believed that it was a domestic violence situation.
According to TMZ, Gastineau hired attorney Shawn Holley to settle the dispute or sue the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, Lewis's lawyer Michael Goldstein said that the artist just had a major knee surgery and had checked into the hotel last week to recover. Gastineau visited him and they had a violent argument.
Goldstein said that the two hurt each other in the altercation because his client could not walk without crutches and was badly hurt.
"(Lewis) was almost defenseless from the physical attack because he was unable to walk without crutches," TMZ relayed Goldstein as saying. "There was lots of swinging, and in the end Retna was also seriously injured - his face and eye were swollen, his painting hand was injured and his ear was cut up."
Goldstein also said that his client was not the aggressor, and that Gastineau and Lewis are "in the process of settling their differences."
The assault happened a week ago and Gastineau still looked battered and bruised. She was spotted sporting a massive black eye at Mr. Chow's restaurant in Beverly Hills last Tuesday.
Recently, Gastineau tweeted, "The naked eye does not foresee pain but the heart knows how to regulate future destruction thru courage."
