Korean actor Lee Seung Gi has almost recovered from his eye injury and is scheduled to film the Korean television series "You're All Surrounded."
"Lee Seung Gi plans to return to filming his SBS Wed-Thurs drama 'You're Surrounded' in the late afternoon of the 13th or the morning of the 14th," a representative of Lee Seung Gi's agency Hook Entertainment told MyDaily.
Lee Seung Gi's injured cornea is not yet fully recovered and is still under observation, but his condition has reportedly improved a lot.
The actor was shooting an action scene last Monday when his left eye was hit by a prop knife. He was rushed to a hospital where he was diagnosed with hyphema, a bleeding in the eye.
Lee Seung Gi was not able to continue shooting for the film that day, even though he wanted to resume filming after having his treatment. The doctors advised him to rest for at least three to four days.
The 27-year-old star apologized for not being able to shoot for the film. "It's so unfortunate that I can't return to filming the drama due to my accident. I will try as soon as I can to return to the scene. I apologize to the viewers of 'You're All Surrounded,'" said Lee Seung Gi, according to KpopStarz.
The filming for the Korean drama is now postponed because the shooting could not be continued without Lee Seung Gi. The episode that was scheduled to be shown last Wednesday was replaced by a special episode, and episode 10 was aired yesterday.
Lee Seung Gi stars in "You're All Surrounded" as Eun Dae Gu, a rookie detective with a photographic memory, together with Cha Seung Won, Go Ara, Ahn Jae Hyun, and Park Jung Min.
