The fourth season of "Game of Thrones" is coming to an end this Sunday, and creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have promised that it will be their best one yet.
Warning: spoilers ahead.
In an earlier interview, Benioff and Weiss said: "The performances from our cast, the direction from Alex Graves, the VFX work, the new (music) cues from Ramin Djawadi ... all of it came together in perhaps the finest hour we've produced."
Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, told reporters the same thing: "I think this could be one of the best episodes of 'Thrones' we've done," he told reporters.
"Usually the big impact episode is (the ninth), and then we wrap everything up in the 10th. But this show doesn't like doing what people think is going to happen; we like changing things up, and it's a lot that happens in this episode. It's going to throw a lot of people, it's going to be very exciting," he added.
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, hinted that the finale will be "hopeful." In an interview, she said: "It's dramatic but it's like, for once Game of Thrones isn't so depressing."
Fans sure need something hopeful, after Prince Oberyn's gruesome death in episode 8, "The Mountain and the Viper."
The finale, entitled "The Children," is expected to answer a lot of questions: Where will Arya and The Hound end up, after they arrive at The Eyrie and find that Lysa--the woman they've travelled for-- is dead? What will Jon do now that Ygritte is dead? What is next for Daenerys, who just asked Jorah, her most trusted adviser, to leave Meereen and never come back?
It's also interesting to note that the show will air on Father's Day. Will this has something to do with Tyrion's fate? In episode 8, It was Lord Tywin who announced that Tyrion will receive the death sentence, after his champion Oberyn was killed by Gregor Clegane in trial by combat?
The fourth season finale of HBO's "Game of Thrones" will air on June 15, at 9pm, on Sunday.
The show will be available for live streaming on HBO Go and HBO Connect.
