'The Walking Dead' Season 5 updates: spoilers, trailer, re-runs

By

The fifth season of the hit AMC Series "The Walking Dead" will return this coming October. Excited for yet another bloody season? Here are some things to look forward to.

Warning spoilers ahead.

Some of the cast members that have been spotted filming in Griffin, GA include Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), and Tara Chamblers (Alanna).

If Glenn has been spotted on the set this would mean that he was not killed off in a death scene that was shot a few weeks ago. Wet Paint predicts: "But even if Glenn is alive and well, it was always possible that that death scene was for a different character. There was only the thought that it might be Glenn, for valid reasons, but it could've been another character. (Why isn't Bob's name listed with Sasha and his usual group? Should we read into that?)"

Glenn's fate is still unclear for the TV series, however. In the Robert Kirkman comic books, where the TV series is based, he is bludgeoned to death by Negan. He could still die this season, but maybe not in the first few episodes.

Fans who saw the set also guessed that Eugene could be in danger in the upcoming season. There is reportedly a scene wherein Eugene is limping, trying to run, and yelling "help me!" while being chased by three walkers.

"The Walking Dead" season 5 will air this October. No specific date has been released yet, but the show's fourth season premiered in October 13, 2013. A trailer is expected to come out soon, possibly at the San Diego Comic Con (July 24-27), or earlier.

AMC will also be having a Walking Dead marathon on the 4th of July weekend, so if you're not updated, this is a perfect time to catch up and binge-watch!
