A representative has announced that actress Kristen Bell and husband Dax Shepard are expecting their second baby.
The 33-year-old "Veronica Mars" and "Frozen" actress and the 39-year-old "Parenthood" star had their first child, Lincoln, in 2013. They got married just last October (after being engaged since 2009), because they wanted to wait until same-sex marriage is legal in California.
"I can confirm that Kristen and Dax are expecting their second child and a sibling for Lincoln," the couple's representative told Entertainment Tonight. "The whole family is beyond excited."
In an earlier interview by US Weekly, Bell said that she is a very hands-on mother: "I want to cook for my family and feel present for them. I'm always missing her when I'm not there." She also said that motherhood is "absolutely intoxicating."
Bell and Shepard founded No Kids Policy, which aims to stop news outlets from sharing or posting pictures of celebrities' children without the parents' consent.
"I've heard from a couple different people who certainly get stalked much more significantly than we do that it's quite literally changed their day to day lives with their kids," Bell told The Huffington Post.
"I'm a firm believer that all we have is our collective consciousness. Moms especially, but parents and informed consumers just decided it was a line that shouldn't be crossed. We've started to see the results and I'm very grateful for it. I think it makes for a more positive media monster," she added.
In September last year, a bill aiming to keep paparazzi away from celebrities was signed by California Governor Jerry Brown. This was after a testimony by Hollywood stars Halle Berry and Jennifer Garner. Other celebrities who supported the cause include Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Orlando Bloom, Michelle Williams, Jason Bateman, and Channing Tatum.
Aside from taking care of one-year-old Lincoln, the couple are also currently very busy with their TV shows. Bell will return in Showtime's "House of Lies" early next year, and Shepard will return for the sixth and final season of "Parenthood" in September.
