The critically-acclaimed Netflix series "House of Cards" has been renewed for a third season. Here are some of things that you need to know before it returns. Warning: spoilers ahead.
Because it's a Netflix original series, the episodes will premiere at once, so fans will once again be able to do some binge-watching.
Kevin Spacey said earlier this week that he's going back to Washington, D.C. to start filming. He tweeted: "What a blast it was to do ... Now back to Washington for... well, you know." (He was talking about the stage production of "Clarence Darrow" in London).
Spacey hinted on shooting in D.C., but it's been said that most of the third season will be filmed in Maryland.
The show's cast and crew have been very quiet on what will happen in the upcoming season. Many big names have tried getting answers (Bustle provided some entertaining "non-answers on" their websirt), but to no avail. For instance, here's an interview excerpt between The Washington Post and writer/producer Beau Willimon:
Washington Post: Do any characters have untapped potential or unplumbed depths?
Beau Willimon: Look at that sneaky question trying to get me talking about Season 3.
WP: Speaking of that climactic moment between Rachel and Doug; is he going to be OK?
BW: There's only one way to find out.
WP: It looks like you're casting a few new reporters next season. Will they fare better than poor Zoe Barnes?
BW: Alright, well, it's been great talking to you and I look forward to reading what you write.
And another from the Huffington Post:
Huffington Post: Are you really dead?
Michael Kelly (Doug Stamper): I don't know. They haven't officially said.
The renewal for a third season was announced on February 4, 2014, but the length of the series hasn't been made clear by the network yet. The show is expected to return to Netflix sometime in 2015.
