Ansel Elgort, who shot to fame after starring in the movie "The Fault In Our Stars," has been given the lead role in a biopic telling the life story of a piano prodigy.

The 20-year-old actor has been tapped to play the lead role of pianist Harvey Lavan "Van" Cliburn.

The movie will reportedly be entitled "Van Cliburn," written by Andrew Stern (base on Howard Reich's biography). According to Deadline, the film will be mounted by Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, along with Crystal City Entertainment, in association with The Johnson Group.

The film will tell the story of the legendary Cliburn, who, at age 23 in 1958, emerged out of nowhere and won the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow. Deadline adds: "It was the first time the tournament was held, and was organized by the USSR after it had caught up to the U.S. in the nuclear arms race and completed the first successful space launch with Sputnik."

The rest of the cast and the director have not yet been announced.

Aside from acting (he graduated from the LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in New York City), Elgort is also a musician. He has a separate Twitter account (@Ansolo_Music) that focuses on the dance music he independently produces.

Aside from deejaying, he also plays the piano, which would make him perfect for the role.

Meantime, fans could catch Elgort in Jason Reitman's "Men, Women, and Children" (set to be released in late 2014) and the "Divergent" sequel "Insurgent," which will hit theaters on 2015.
