Shia LeBeouf arrested and released after Studio 54 incident

Actor Shia LeBeouf was arrested at a theatre in New York City's Studio 54 after lighting a cigarette during a show.

Police told reporters that the "Transformers" actor, who was watching "Cabaret," was drunk and had been in a disruptive behavior in the theater.

LeBeouf, who was still wearing the ripped t-shirt and jeans he wore the night before, has already made a court appearance and was released on Friday. CNN reported that he left the Manhattan courtroom on his own recognizance. He was charged with the following: "criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment."

The 28-year-old actor pleaded not guilty to the charges. He is set to return to court on July 24, 2014.

A witness who filed a criminal complaint claimed that during that show, LeBeouf yelled at the actors and refused to leave. When he was being escorted out of the theater, he allegedly told a police officer: "F--- you. This is f---ing bull---. Do you know my life? Do you know who the f--- I am? Do you know who I am."

He also reportedly spat in the officer's direction, and threw curses at him.

This is not the first time that LeBeouf has made headlines about misdemeanor and strange behavior. Last year, he was accused of plagiarizing another person's work. In February, he walked out of the premiere of his movie "Nymphomaniac" and showed up on the red carpet with a paper bag on his head, which had the message: "I am not famous anymore."

Just recently, he was pictured chasing a homeless man in Times Square. LeBeouf reportedly wanted the man's McDonald's bag.

Others think that the star is troubled, but there are some who believe that all of this could just be performances.

Earlier this year, he has a performance art exhibition in LA called "#IAMSORRY," where he apologized for his recent misconducts.
