How To Add Password To Google Play Store

By

Adding a password to your Google Play Store account is very important because you don't want your kids or younger members of the family tinkering around with your phone and spending money on in-app purchases or purchasing new apps that you no intentions of using. It also gives you some security if your device is stolen, since someone can rack up charges on your account, purchasing music, applications or movies.

You can add a password to Google Play relatively easily, and remove it as you please. To start, you will need to look for the Google Play Store icon on your device. It will often be on the right of the first screen of any Android device. Once you have entered Google Play, open the menu (the icon with the three dots on the right), or the menu button on your device. Proceed to tap "settings" on your Google Play Store app.

After all this is done, you are just one step away from securing your device from unwanted spending on the Play Store. Scroll down the page and you will see "Use password to restrict purchases", and a check box on its right. Simply check the box, and a pop up will appear asking for your password. Type in your Google Account password (the same one you use for your Gmail account when you first set up your phone), and once your press OK, password protection will be enabled.

You will use that same Google Account password every time you try to purchase something on the Google Play Store, so there will be no more worries of your kids or younger siblings and relatives accidentally purchasing stuff.
