Foo Fighters announce 2014 concerts: Where to get tickets

By

American rock band Foo Fighters has recently announced tour dates in the United States and South Africa for 2014.

The band announced on 2012 that they are on hiatus (read front man Dave Grohl's letter here), but went back on stage late last year.

The 2014 dates that have been announced so far are as follows:

  • Friday, October 24, 2014 - Foo Fighters with Kanye West in Downtown Las Vegas, NV, US
  • Wednesday, December 10, 2014 - Foo Fighters at the Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa
  • Saturday, December 13, 2014 - Foo Fighters at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa

The tickets for the South Africa shows went on sale last June 26. As expected, fans went crazy. Some even started lining up at midnight.

City Press reportedly had a sneak peek at the band's 26-page document that outlines their requests for the shows. They include 24 large bath towels ("if they are unwashed you will receive a wedgie," the band said), six backstage rooms that are "architecture willing."

The rest of the demands are interesting as they are hilarious:

"Bacon, I call it 'god's currency'! Hell, if it could be breathed, I would. Bacon in any form is great, not as an entrée, but just in general," the document said.

Aside from bacon and other things fried, they also noted that they want vegetarian soup over meaty options for crew members who are prone to flatulence. "Please make arrangements for leftovers to be collected by a local soup kitchen, homeless shelter or our roadie who looks like Osama bin Laden."

In terms of alcohol, they want a bottle of vodka and Jägermeister for each member. They also want some vanilla-scented candles. The document noted: "no flowery scents as we're men, after all".

Tickets for the US show are available on Ticketmaster. For the South Africa shows, go to BigConcerts.com and Computicket.
