The highly-anticipated vampire drama "The Vampire Diaries" is set to deploy series of romance and mysteries this upcoming sixth season. Fans can't wait what shall happen between couples after the cliffhanger season finale.
Stefan and Caroline were engaged on a strong emotional attachment during the past season as they were witnessed together on the Season 5 Episode 22 having a melancholic conversation, for he was saddened by what happened to Damon. She held him then.
Moreover, Paul Wesley (Stefan) disclosed the possibility of having a romantic relationship with Caroline on the show. He said nothing is impossible and yes, it could happen.
"Elena loved Stefan. Elena's her best friend. Kind of a no-fly zone, which is why I think that if she has had any more-than-friend feelings she's pushed them away or convinced herself otherwise," Julie Plec, series' executive director, was quoted by Christian Today.
