CBS hit police procedural drama show "Hawaii Five-0" is set to return this fall. Here are the things that we know about the show so far.
The show's fourth season ("'O ka Pili 'Ohana ka 'Oi," or "Family Comes First") wrapped up last May.
The biggest news that came out is that Michelle Borth, who plays Catherine Rollins (the love interest of Steven McGarrett), will not be back next season. Her character was reportedly written out of the show's season 4 finale.
With Borth gone, what would happen to the relationship? Fans were quick to voice out their opinion on social media. "Bring Back Cath because she IS the female version McG," tweeted HeyD50. "Nope, never too much. And Cath's a great mate for him," said one user.
"Please please please with malasadas on top tell me we'll see Cath in season 5!! #H50 #MissingHerAlready!", said another.
Peter Lenkov, the show's executive producer, told Entertainment Weekly that they wanted to give Borth a nice goodbye: "I wanted to give her a heroes send off - an exit her character and Michelle deserved. It's really a heart-wrenching, nail biting episode," he said, referring to the season 4 finale.
Season 4 aired on Fridays at 9pm, but it hasn't been confirmed if this will be retained. No official date has been released by the network so far, but it's expected to air in fall this year.
"Hawaii Five-0" premiered in CBS in 2010. The original series aired from 1968 to 1980, under the same network. The title of the new series uses a zero instead of the original "O."
Other CBS shows that have been renewed are CSI, NCIS: LA, Criminal Minds, Elementary, Two and a Half Men, The Millers, and 2 Broke Girls.
