The fourth season of hit FX horror anthology series "American Horror Story" is set to come out in October. Here are things that we know about it so far.
The new, 10-episode season will be called "American Horror Story: Freak Show," set in Jupiter, Florida. It will focus on one of the very few remaining freak shows of the 1950s. Some of the new characters include a clown killer and a bearded lady.
The cast has skipped appearing in the San Diego Comic Con in the past two years because of conflicts in schedules, but this year, a panel will finally happen.
"Coven" and "Freak Show" cast members Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Michael Chiklis and executive producer Tim Minear will reportedly make the Comic Con Panel on July 26 in room 6DE, reported Deadline. There will also be a screening and exclusive look at "Freak Show."
Cast members to be expected this season include Bates, Bassett, Chiklis, Peters, Roberts, Frances Conroy, Jessica Lange, Denis O'Hare, Jamie Brewer, and Gabourey Sidibe.
Sarah Paulson, who plays conjoined twin freak show performers Bette and Dot, said two words when she read the script: "Holy S**t!" In an interview with E! News, Paulson (who will be playing a two-headed lady), said that the upcoming season is like a hybrid between "Coven" and "Asylum."
"There's going to be a little bit of a richer and potentially darker tone the way 'Asylum' had, but with the humor infused from 'Coven. When you add Kathy Bates to the story, she's so funny, and Emma Roberts was so funny last year as Madison, I just think it's going to be a really beautiful mix of both," Paulson explained.
No date has been confirmed yet, but "Freak Show" is expected to be aired in Fall this year.
