It's official: Eva Mendez and boyfriend Ryan Gosling are expecting!
Rumors started circulating yesterday that Mendes could be pregnant, and today it has officially been confirmed: An insider told Us Weekly that Mendes is actually seven months pregnant.
In an interview with Ellen De Generes earlier this year, Mendes denied all the pregnancy rumors, saying it's "ridiculous." She added: "It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out."
Mendes, 40, and Gosling, 33, have been dating since 2011.
There were rumors in the past months that Mendes and Gosling's relationship was on the rocks, but it turns out that she might have just been taking care of herself, and/or perhaps hiding the baby bump.
ZImbio outlined some clues: Mendes did not show up in Cannes, where Gosling premiered "Lost River," a movie he wrote and directed, and where she starred in. The last time that she was spotted on the red carpet was in March, and she was wearing a floral dress that could have easily concealed the bump.
Fans--especially Gosling's devoted female followers and those who think that Rachel McAdams is Gosling's one true love--are quick to express their joy for the couple: "Eva Mendes is pregnant w Ryan Gosling's baby. That is gonna be one good looking child," said one Twitter user.
"Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are having a baby...they're about to make the greatest looking human being of all time," said another.
There were a couple of funny ones as well: "NOOO WHY IS EVERYONE SAYING EVA MENDES IS PREGNANT," said user @monicasock. "Ryan Gosling's girlfriend is pregnant. There's no hope for us now ladies. What a horrible day," said @AuralNoelle.
"I am distressed. Ryan gosling and Eva Mendes are having a baby, she's 7 months pregnant. It's supposed to be Rachel Mcadams," said @anitaramirezz.
