BlackBerry Q20 All Set for November Release; Expect Improved Trackpad, Precise Navigation, and Blackberry Hub

BlackBerry fans only need to wait a few more months until the release date of the Canadian phone company's latest offering. The flagship model, called Q20 (or simply Blackberry Classic) is set to be released in November. Joining the release of the flagship model is the Blackberry BES12.

The much anticipated release of the Q20 and BES12 is expected to pose a challenge to the Apple iPhone 6 juggernaut which is also scheduled to be released in November. KPopStarZ looks at the Q20 as a part of BlackBerry's aim to tap its small yet loyal pool of QWERTY users. BlackBerry's official press release on its website announced that the The Classic is designed to deliver the unique and distinctive experience provided by the well-loved BlackBerry10.

The Classic also runs on the Blackberry 10 operating system with a design similar to the equally famous Bold series, according to USAToday. It comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen interface and a much more improved web-browsing and multimedia capability. The BlackBerry Classic also claims to offer the longest battery life from from all the smartphone products of the company.

Other significant features of the model include the signature 'Menu', 'Back', and 'Send', and 'End' buttons with an accompanying trackpad for precise navigation. The phone will also include the BlackBerry Hub which lets its users access all their messages in one place.

In Blackberry's press release, Chief Executive Officer John Chen announced that they are still planning to ride the touch-screen phone market to keep up with consumer demands. However, they will still maintain their production of models with their trademark QWERTY keyboards.

News of the phone's release earlier this year followed the Canadian phone company's string of successes after it posted better than expected earnings. The upcoming sales from the BlackBerry's new models will determine if the company made the right decision to use the "Classic" as its comeback model.
