Many users of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini are complaining about their devices' battery life. They have been experiencing massive battery drop while others report their devices overheat easily. For users who are experiencing such inconveniences, here are a few useful tips from Android Central:
Turn on Power Saving Mode
Putting your device on Power Saving mode helps save its battery's life. It automatically adjusts screen brightness and processor usage. It also disables vibration. It is also wise to set the phone to mute or audible instead of using the volume control keys.
To put it on Power Saving mode, the user should swipe down the topmost portion of the home screen to see the notification pane, and tap the Power Saving option. For better results, reduce the screen timeout duration by tapping the gear icon at the top and the least possible time the screen turns off.
Turn off Unused Functions
Turning on various functions also affect how your Samsung Galaxy S4 mini consumes energy. It is best to turn these off when not in use if you want to prolong your battery life. If you are not using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or 3G, for instance, disable them. Switching to GSM mode allows your device to use just the basic functions thereby consuming minimal amount of battery.
Disable home screen widgets and active wallpapers
As home screen widgets and live wallpapers are active all the time, they are draining your battery little by little, as well. Make sure you disable them, too. To do this, long press on a home screen widget and drag it to the trash can icon.
For the live wallpapers, long press on the home screen background. When the pop-up appears, tap on Set wallpaper. Then, tap Home screen and choose a wallpaper source besides Live wallpapers. Select an image you would want to use as wallpaper and tap Done.
These are simple ways for users to extend the battery life of their Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
