Apple iPhone 6 Confirmed Release and Specs Encourage Better Price Target, to be Better than Samsung

The iPhone 6 has been on the headlines for quite some time earning positive analyst reviews. Despite the reported production delays, analysts remain convinced that Apple can continue to dominate with its iPhone 6 offering especially the phablet size. Price target for Apple has been revised to $115 instead of $100 showing strong potential. More importantly, experts also think that the iPhone 6 can break records achieving all-time high in terms of stocks and sales. It can drive replacement cycle and give Apple better market position.

Evercore Partners analyst Rob Circa changed his price target about Apple. The Street reported that Circa increased the Apple price target to $115 instead of $110. For the past few weeks, Apple's shares have been around $93.50. This borders around 17% including 25% considering the point Apple revealed its second-quarter earnings in April. Lately, analysts have been changing their forecasts about the company switching from satisfactory expectations to more positive outlooks.

Industry observers place high expectations on the phablet series saying that consumers are more interested over the 5.5-inch version more than the 4.7-inch version. Circa said in his note: "We see Apple creating its own growth through uniquely innovative hardware+software with integrated services vs. a sea of otherwise commodity devices."

The Street also pointed out in its report that the upcoming hardware cycle emphasizes Apple's goal on eliminating Samsung as a competition. Tim Cook did promise before that Apple will take on an approach that will target and kill competitors better including Samsung.

However, some doubts were raised following Apple's reduction of the trade-in value for the iPhone. Consumers will lose around $45 under the system. Nonetheless, retailers appear ready to stock on new Apple products as more discounted deals surface according to Cult of Mac. For instance, Design and Trend reported that Walmart lowered its 16GB iPhone 5s to $99 from $149 while the 16GB iPhone 5c now costs $29 instead of $49.
