5 Seconds of Summer singer Luke Hemmings celebrates 18th birthday, trends on Twitter #HappyBirthdayLukeHemmings; 5SOS new album to be released on July 22

Luke Hemmings, member of Australian pop punk band 5 Seconds of Summer, has recently celebrated his 18th birthday.

"18 soon, no more peein my pants right guys," the 5SOS vocalist said on Twitter.

Unreality TV reported that #HappyBirthdayLukeHemmings hashtag trended on Twitter.

To celebrate, here are some things that you should know about the singer:

Born Luke Robert Hemmings on June 16, 1996, Luke grew up with two brothers, Ben and Jack. He formerly dated Aleisha McDonald, and is obsessed with penguins!

He has a lip ring, and is the tallest member of 5SOS. He also He plays soccer, enjoys snowboarding, and supports the Cronulla Sharks in the NRL. He also has over 3.34 million followers on Twitter (@Luke5SOS).

Meanwhile, a recent interview revealed some rather strange things about the 5SOS members. When asked about what they'd likely be doing if the band never happened, they answered that they'd still be touring the world...with animals.

Ashton said "We'd buy a dog. We would buy some sort of small animal and we'd take it on tour"

"It would be cool! Or maybe, like, one of those dwarf goats... a really small goat. Or a baby hippo. We'd get a baby hippo," he added.

5SOS--composed of Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, and Michael Clifford, has recently released a song entitled "Everything I Didn't Say"--a teaser for their debut album, which will be released on July 22.

The band will perform at the 2014 Video Music Awards on August 24.
