Long-time BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are reportedly fighting again, with one talking bad behind the other's back even as they praise each other publicly. Gomez has been losing friends and rumors abound that the reason might be her on-off relationship with Justin Bieber.
It was only on July 2 that KpopStarz reported Demi Lovato unfollowing her friend of 14 years on Twitter shortly before posting a meme with a captain "Swimming away from your bulls--t, bye b--ch." While the meme has long since been deleted on the "Skyscraper" singer's account, Contact Music considers it to be intended for Gomez. IB Times says that Lovato's unfollowing was because Gomez was being a "headache". Meanwhile, the site also spoke of an insider saying that Gomez has been overheard talking trash about Lovato in a party.
The two had been known to have a falling out in their long years of remaining friends, which Gomez even admitted in an interview with Seventeen Magazine, says Contact Music. In the interview, Gomez said, "She was going through things and I was so young and it was confusing." With that incident smoothed out, however, fans of the two singers are wondering what caused the current alleged feud.
Hollywood Take thinks that the feud could be because of Gomez' on-off relationship with Justin Bieber even despite allegations that he is hooking up with ex-girlfriend Chantel Jeffries.
Lovato is not the first friend to supposedly cut ties with Gomez. IB Times lists that Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner, and Kendal Jenner have also cut ties with the former Disney child star. However, the site says Lovato's reason was different. Unlike Gomez' other friends, Lovato was not targeting her relationship with Bieber and was instead focusing on trying to get her to stay sober.
On the subject, KpopStarz reported Lovato defending her friend, contrary to rumors of feud, by saying rehab is "all of her business, and I just want to let her do her thing."
With the history of friendship of former co-stars in "Barney & Friends", this feud might not take long, if it even exists at all.
