Irish Rock Band U2 to release an album and tour on 2015; Larry Mullen says they need collaborators to challenge

Irish rock band U2 still keeps on holding on to its fame and reputation as they continue to record several songs. An upcoming album was reported earlier but the release date was moved to 2015. Perhaps, the band needs more time.

The band celebrates its 56th anniversary this year and the new album shall deliver the old music and harmony we've loved. But according to a report of KPopStarz, it won't be available 'til next year. That's unfair!

"It seems to be taking longer for them to finish an album as they get older, but the great thing about U2 is that the whole of a record is always better than the sum of its parts," the source says.

"That magic that the band always seems to capture ... they have yet to capture it." Furthermore, the band needs to search for their fans once more despite the duration when they last performed on stage.

And with what new music exhibits, they need to step up and feel challenged. Larry Mullen, U2's drummer, says, "We've always needed collaborators to challenge us."

"We're slow learners. We need to be creative, on the cutting edge, challenged, and it's really hard going, it's relentless, and we're relentless, and we have a history of breaking engineers, producers. I mean, people come out of working with U2 and just go, 'I just don't know what's happened; it feels like a lifetime has passed by.' And that's just the way we work," he concludes.

Bono, one of the vocalists, explains their slow pace: "The album won't be ready till it's ready. But right now, people are walking a little differently -- well, they're not walking, they're running as if to a finish line."

"There are a couple of songs that are part of the story we haven't quite finished. We know we have to spend a couple of years taking these songs around the world, so they'd better be good."

Let's watch and relive the music of the legendary band, U2:
