The Young and the Restless (Y&R), created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell for CBS, is coming up with new cast members for the show.
A recent report by soapoperanetwork.com states that actress Karen Logue will be introduced in the soap as Helen Copeland on August 24, 2014. Though more details about Helen's character has not been revealed by the show runners, spoilers suggest that Helen could be Mariah's mother as they share the same name.
Actress Eileen Davidson will return to Y&R as Ashley Abbott and she will be making her first appearance by early September 2014, report soapoperadigest.com.
Talking to soapoperadigest.com about her rejoining, Davidson said, "I'm really happy. I have put in a lot of years in this medium, which I don't take for granted, so I'm very grateful."
"They has been reaching out for quite a while and wondering what I wanted, so the deal we made suits my life very well," she added.
Actress Gina Tognoni will also rejoin the show as Phyllis Summers by late summers, a year after the character fell into a coma, reports TV Guide.
However, The Young and Restless team have not yet revealed any information about the replacement of Michael Muhney as Adam Newman.

He tweeted, "Just to clear up some rumors... There is absolutely NO indication that I am going to Y&R to play Adam Newman. Thanks for all the support tho."
