By

Rumor has it, Maksim Chmerkovskiy may come back to "Dancing With the Stars" in the next season with a new responsibility.

According to Life & Style a source said that Chmerkovskiy, who won Season 18 with celebrity partner Meryl Davis, may possibly be sitting at the judges table next season.

"Maks really, really wants to be a judge," the source said."Just waiting to see what Len decides before he makes his announcement."

Len Goodman, who has been a judge on "Dancing with the Stars" since Season 1, has previously stated that Season 18 would be his last, according to Life & Style.

In an interview, Chmerkovskiy, 34, has confirmed some part of the news.

"Len and I will get together and think about [whether I will return]," said Chmerkovskiy.

Rob Wade, one of the producers of Dancing with the Stars, discussed about the cast of the show's upcoming season during ABC's Summer TCA Press Tour.

He revealed that the show's host Erin Andrews will be seen in season 19.

According to E!News, "We have Erin and Tom coming back, and we're looking forward to it," Wade said.

On the other hand, he couldn't tell much about Chmerkovskiy and his judgeship on the show.

"I don't know. I've just come back to the show, but I was on the show in Season 1 and Maks came on in Season 2. So I've known Maks for 10 years now, and he's a very good friend," said Wade.

Wade left Dancing with the Stars as a producer in season 11 and will come back on season 19.

"Dancing with the Stars" next season will premiere on Sept. 15.
