It's been quite some time since we saw 'Heroine' actress on the big screen. After her marriage with actor Saif Ali Khan, she is been living her personal life more than professional. She has reportedly turned down a few great film offers including 'Dil Dhadakne Do'.

Kapoor has reportedly refused to work on number of films that includes Sujoy Ghosh and Karan Johar's next projects. She was also offered the lead role in Ram-leela, which she walk out of because of the intimate scenes required in the movie. The role was eventually passed on to Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone.

In a talk show by Karan Johar "Koffee with Karan", Johar asked Padukone what alternate profession should Kapoor take up, Padukone quickly replied charity. Perhaps she was referring to the films Kapoor is rejecting that are making other actress famous.

While the fans are curious to know about Kapoor's reason to turn down great opportunities, she explains her reason as to why she rejected so many opportunities.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, she said "In the last five months, I think I have said no to six movies because I don't want to do anything that's not great. If I don't want to [be a part of a film], I am happy not to do it... [I'd rather] chill at home and read a book, or do something else."

"And that's a policy that I will stick to. Let people say, do or write what they want to. Like Saif (Ali Khan) says, 'Put your head down and don't do what you don't like.' And after 15 years [in the industry], I am sure I have the right to do that," she said.

Kapoor also reportedly turned down Bejoy Nambiar's film as well as Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do'.

"It's my loss because I love Zoya, but couldn't be a part of her film. I am dying to work with her.," explained Kapoor. "Inshallah, this isn't the last film she is going to make, and it's not the last film hat I'm not able to do. Aage bhi bahut padi hai zindagi (there's life ahead). Whenever she has a role for me, I'll definitely do it."

The 'Satyagraha' actress is busy with her married life.

"My priorities are different because I am married now. I would like to work in a way that I can give certain time to a film," said Kapoor. "But then, I have to keep some time for my personal life as well. And I always wanted things to be like this."

She did turn down few films recently but fans will see her in Kabir Khan's next film 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' with actor Salman Khan.

"Salman Khan as Bajrangi Bhaijaan is going to be very special. Both of us are very excited to start this journey. Yes Kareena is in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and we release on Eid 2015," Kabir tweeted to confirm the news.
